Healing is a very broad term. It’s not just curing illness or striving for perfect health. Its about building a relationship with nature and your body. It’s helping us root back into earth, holding responsibility for who we are and how we live here, so that we can walk in the way we were meant to be here.
My story:
I was raised just like most American children. Lots of fast food with very little attention to lifestyle. In my early 20’s I had liver issues from too much drinking, not enough sleep, and severe lack of proper nutrition. I eventually landed in the hospital with kidney failure, developed a skin issue, and suffered from constant fatigue and gut issues. In truth, I was living a really busy, toxic life and depending on supplements to keep me healthy.
I realized it was time to get a formal education on anatomy and historical plant uses and preparations. I started my degree to learn how nutrition and supplements could restore health back to my body.
I learned a lot about shamanic philosophy, physiology, and supplements but found I needed to search out practicing mentors who knew how to grow plants and actually make their own preparations. There were very few schools back then. I found teachers and mostly just practiced on my friends and family for years. I never planned to make this a career.
I had a highly competitive professional career with the largest gaming corporation in the world. Climbing the ladder was fulfilling and necessary to support my family. I was also training as a competitive boxer, a mother, and helping my partner with a bodybuilding company as the nutrition and conditioning coach.
I eventually found my beloved husband and left my executive career to assist him in restoring his health after being diagnosed with Crohn’s. It was a long journey and now he has been symptom-free for years.
I’ve since worked in supplement manufacturing and sales. This gave me insight into the supply chain and manufacturing process.
I’ve also worked with friends at a local CSA putting together farming and companion plants for herbal remedies. I am also fortunate enough to work with the local community college as an herbal instructor.
I specialize in sports nutrition, family general wellness, ancient folk stories, aromatic medicines, mushroom retreats and companion planting.
I started IEM. Earth to share my experiences and connect with others who want to grow local herbs, make plant formulations and discover the wonders of mushrooms.

About Me
I graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Health. I continued my education with courses and apprenticeships. I live an active lifestyle and believe in working our physical bodies, getting adequate sleep, and proper nutrition. It is my goal to help us remember we are a part of nature. We need to bring back “Folk Medicine” that connects back to our heritage. Mine is Scandinavian.
I have 20 years in the high-end luxury hotel and spa market in operations. I spent 10 years in sales and as the Director of Operations for an herbal manufacturing company. This role has given me insight to the full cycle of our consumer products and food manufacturing.
I work with Plenty Heirlooms Farms in Loveland doing training for the CSA. The CSA transforms grass yards into food for families and teaches herbal gardening companioned about food planting.
The natural world helps us remember who we are and our ancient ways, reconnect with nature and our purpose, and revision what our lives look like moving forward.
F.A.Q
How can I schedule a personal consult for a custom formula?
Just send me a note via the contact page. I am happy to discuss herbal and mushroom prepartions that can work for you.
Where do you recommend getting herbs from?
As local as possible. It’s important to know where your herbs come from, how they were grown and harvested and if the folks alond the supply chain were fairly paid for their hard work getting us our plants. Please consider growing and building a relationship with your plants. There is no better medicine than what you can grow and prepare at home. I teach classes in Colorado about our local flora. You can also try to find an herbalist in your area that knows how to grow and use the plants in your area. And here are some of my favorite companies if you don’t have space. I also believe in supporting our local farmers!
